Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all aspects of banquet service, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of food and beverage offerings
- Lead staff training sessions on food handling, customer service, and operational procedures to maintain high standards of hospitality
- Oversee setup, breakdown, and cleanliness of banquet spaces, ensuring adherence to safety and sanitation protocols
- Collaborate with culinary teams on food preparation, presentation, and special dietary needs to meet guest expectations
- Manage inventory control for banquet supplies and equipment, including ordering and stock management using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including billing and payment processing during events
- Monitor shift operations, provide guidance to team members, and assist with interviewing and onboarding new staff
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service management within a banquet, catering, or hotel environment with supervising responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen management, and food safety standards
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and develop team members effectively
- Experience in managing inventory control, budgeting, and cost management in a hospitality setting
- Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure situations quickly while maintaining exceptional customer service
- Casual dining or fine dining experience is preferred; banquet experience is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills for coordinating between kitchen staff, servers, management, and guests
