Embassy Suites by Hilton Lombard is seeking a dynamic and experienced Housekeeping Rooms Inspector for their busy hotel! Compensation is based on experience. Essential Job Functions
- Oversee the completion of all duties by Housepersons and Room Attendants.
- Room Inspector should prepare the evening reports and finish any jobs the previous crew did not.
- Know and follow established cleaning procedures to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
- Properly use all cleaning supplies and fluids to product specifications.
- Update room status with either the Front Office Supervisor or the computer system at designated intervals.
- Understand and operate all housekeeping equipment to product specifications.
- Perform and complete any special projects as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper.
- Know and actively practice the hotels' emergency procedures and loss prevention guidelines.
- Establishes standards and procedures for work of housekeeping staff.
- Plans work schedules to ensure adequate service.
- Provide supervision and support to everyone in the department.
- Ensure that all reports are prepared completely and on time.
- Ensure that proper key controls are in effect.
- Ensure storage rooms are clean and neat.
- Inspects and evaluates physical condition of establishment.
- Periodically inventories supplies and equipment, completes linen inventory.
- Investigates new and improved cleaning instruments and methods.
- Full time hours available (at least 30 hours a week).
Experience/Education
High School Diploma Preferred. Minimum one to two years' previous experience as a Room Attendant/Housekeeper in a brand hotel required, preferably Hilton. Must be able to speak, read, and understand English.
