GENERAL PURPOSE
Core Schedule to include Weekends and PM shift.
Full-Time and Part-Time Available
3:00pm to 11:30pm (weeknights)
AM and PM openings on Weekends
Carry a portable radio, staying in constant communication with the central base station, respond to all engineering service calls, giving priority to guest requests, and maintain hotel equipment in a efficient, safe, accident-free manner: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC in an efficient, safe, accident-free manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform maintenance and repairs in specialized areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC.
Clean and maintain all equipment and work areas.
Document all parts used and parts needed to be purchased.
Report any unsafe conditions to the Director of Engineering.
OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Travel required: Limited, local travel upon request.
Hours: Scheduled days and times may vary based on need.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge
Must have basic knowledge of building mechanical systems and controls, energy management and building maintenance skills.
May require ability to drive pick-up truck and snow removal equipment.
Skills
Excellent hearing required to hear portable radio, alarms, guests.
Excellent vision required to inspect, maintain equipment.
Excellent speech communication skills required to respond on portable radio to base station, guests.
Minimal comprehension and literacy required to read instructions, repair manuals.
Abilities
Lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying required to perform inspections and repairs anywhere in or out of hotel property.
Frequent bending and kneeling required to inspect and repair equipment.
100% mobility required in all areas of hotel property and grounds.
No continuous standing required.
Climbing approximately 90 steps 10% of 8 hours.
Ladders of approximately 8 feet 20% of 8 hours.
Education/Formal Training
High school diploma, plus two years or its equivalent in trade school or training in building maintenance/construction.
Experience
Minimum four years experience in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry or building maintenance.
Material/Equipment Used
Chemicals/Agents used: Frequency depends upon job assignment: Painting would use chemicals 90% of time, electric job may not require any.
Use of electric saws, hand tools.
Environment
Work inside 90% of 8 hours; outside 10% of 8 hours.
Abnormal temperatures - 5 to 95 degrees.
