Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, and facility infrastructure to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Conduct repairs involving welding, electrical wiring, and mechanical components to restore equipment functionality swiftly.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot automation systems and ensure seamless manufacturing processes.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and asset histories.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks including residential painting, carpentry, and general building upkeep.
- Supervise or lead small teams during maintenance projects, ensuring safety procedures are followed and work is completed efficiently.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities or manufacturing maintenance with a strong mechanical knowledge base.
- Hands-on experience with electrical systems, schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters.
- Skilled in welding techniques and capable of performing metal repairs as needed.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems used in manufacturing environments.
- Ability to read technical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals accurately.
- Strong communication skills in English for effective collaboration with team members and vendors.
- Supervising or leadership experience is preferred for guiding junior technicians or overseeing projects.
- Knowledge of residential painting techniques is a plus for facility aesthetic improvements.
