This position is located at the Embassy Suites in Arcadia, CA. A city nestled by the San Gabriel Mountains, known for its blend of suburban charm and natural beauty. Home to the renowned Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden and the historic Santa Anita racetrack. Arcadia offers a unique blend of outdoor recreation and rich cultural heritage.
Why do we need you?
To serve food in a friendly, professional and efficient manner to patrons at counters and tables of coffee shops, lunchrooms and other dining establishments where food service is informal, thereby adding to a positive guest experience.
What you will do:
- Presents menu, answers question and makes suggestions regarding food and service.
- Write orders on check or memorize it.
- Relays order to kitchen and serves courses from kitchen and service bars.
- Observes guest to fulfill any additional request and to perceive when meal has been completed.
- Totals bill and accept payment or refers patron to cashier.
- May ladle soup, toss salads, portion pies, and desserts, brew coffee, and perform other services as determined by establishment size and practice.
- May clear and reset counters or table at conclusion of each course.
- Maintains work areas in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Greeting guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Required to be always in uniform when working on the property including wearing name identification badge.
- Supports and adheres to the core values, the mission statement, service fundamentals, and guest service philosophy as defined by the company.
- All other duties assigned by a manager or supervisor.
Skills and abilities you bring:
- Ability to perform repetitive motions; lift, bend, stoop, walk, push, or pull heavy equipment, and stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
- Talk with different kinds of people to find out what services they want and to provide them with information.
- Ability to comprehend and follow instructions from supervisor.

Schedule & Hours:
This position is Part-Time and the role follows a rotating schedule (Monday-Sunday). The ability to work any scheduled day of the week and time of day, including holidays, based on business needs is required.
