What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse - Evening Shift position at Embassy Rehab & Care Center?
RN or LPN – Evening Shift
Skip the early alarm. Still sleep at night.
Not interested in starting work at the crack of dawn – but don’t want to work overnight either? Evenings might be your sweet spot.
Embassy Rehab & Care Center in Sergeant Bluff is looking for an RN or LPN to join our 2–10 p.m. nursing team. Full- and part-time opportunities are available. (We do have options for other shifts, so please reach out if you have another shift preference!)
Keep your mornings for sleeping in, appointments, errands or just taking your time getting started. Then come spend your evening caring for residents and still head home to your own bed at the end of the shift.
And if you enjoy long-term care because you actually get to know the people you care for, even better. At Embassy, you’ll use your nursing skills while building relationships with residents and being part of their everyday lives.
What You’ll Do
- Assess residents, monitor changes in condition and help develop and update individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments and maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Respond to changes in condition and emergencies, communicating with physicians, families and other members of the care team as needed
- Coordinate nursing care to help residents maintain their highest practical level of functioning
- Provide direction and supervision to CNAs and other nursing staff during your shift
- Communicate resident status, physician orders and other important information during shift transitions
What We’re Looking For
- Current RN or LPN license
- Strong clinical judgment and the ability to recognize changes in resident condition
- Good communication and organizational skills
- A nurse who can lead a shift, work well with the nursing team and provide compassionate care to our residents
