Medicaid Specialist

Embassy Healthcare is currently hiring a full time Medicaid Specialist for the Scranton Pennsylvania area.

*This position requires travel. Previous experience with Medicaid processes in a long-term care setting is a must.

Qualifications:

· Strong working knowledge and experience with Pennsylvania Medicaid qualifications and applications for long term care.

· Must have strong organizational skills with high level of attention to detail.

· Good interpersonal relations.

· Good verbal and written communication skills

· Reliable means of transportation

· Computer skills in word, excel and Office

· Experience in skilled nursing care

· Travel to multiple facilities in the state of PA

Responsibilities:

· Information gathering, preparing necessary documentation for making decisions concerning eligibility for Medicaid as needed.

· Conduct a comprehensive review of applications including financial and legal documentation, submitted by applicants/recipients and authorized representatives as needed

· Responsible for working Pending Medicaid applications as needed and re-determinations in order to ensure financial eligibility

· Processing of all appropriate forms applicable to the Pennsylvania requirements

· Respond to inbound and outbound telephone calls received related to Medicaid coverage

· Travel to multiple locations

· Flexible work hours

· Conduct weekly/monthly Medicaid Pending calls with facilities as directed with weekly audits of 72 hour meetings, ensure Business Office Managers have a plan in place for insurance cuts/co-pay days.

· Review of facility Medicaid pending trackers weekly/monthly.

· Conduct Medicaid training to Business Office Managers to include state regulation updates ect.

· Weekly calls with Regional Business Office Mangers to discuss issues, and Medicaid pending AR.

· SB2 referrals as needed and communication between Embassy Healthcare and SB2 communicated to Regional Business Office Managers/Facilities.
