We are seeking a mission- and values-driven on-call support coach to join our Embark team. You will work alongside participants with disaiblities, case managers, Embark's care team, and other stakeholders in the support of participants' employment.

This position will have varying hours and a varying schedule each week. Weekends and evenings may be required.

A background check and motor vehicle check are performed as required by Wisconsin statute. Employees are required to have reliable transportation. Driving participants to and from job locations is required.

Overview

The Vocational Support Coach plays an instrumental role in carrying out the mission of Embark by supporting individuals with disabilities in various employment settings. Duties include direct on the job support, regular communication with employers, daily documentation on participant work skills and progress, supervision of breaks and lunch times, regular communication with fellow job coaches as well as managers, driving to and from worksites, some transportation of consumers to and from Embark and/or other residences, as well as any additional activities needed to meet the supported worker’s personal vocational objectives, as well as additional duties assigned by the lead job coach. Hours are flexible and are based on what is required to carry out the job/position as well as the individual needs of the supported worker. Training is provided.

Essential Functions, Roles, and Responsibilities

Administrative

  • Documents the daily work performed by participants, the supported outcomes, and other information for billing
  • Communicates with participants, partners, and colleagues

Work Sites

  • Builds relationships with participants
  • Models appropriate workplace behavior
  • Keeps and adheres to professional boundaries
  • Supports, educates, and assists participants on job tasks and duties
  • Assists participants to problem solve, reduce stress, and manage conflicts
  • Ensures participants adhere to safety protocols
  • Works with partners to ensure contract is upheld
  • Problem solves issues that participants, employees, and/or partners may encounter
  • Maintains vehicle and equipment standards
  • Collaborates with the MCO Case Manager

Qualifications

  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities in social services or workforce development settings
  • Background in addiction counseling, teaching, or coaching is highly desirable
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting purposes
  • Proven ability to work effectively with culturally diverse communities and underserved populations
  • Excellent writing skills for report writing and documentation purposes

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
