Title: Inventory Control Coordinator

Our client, a leading manufacturing facility in Columbus OH, has an immediate need for an Inventory Control Coordinator. This associate is responsible for managing all aspects of inventory in a manufacturing setting, including but not limited to inventory tracking, receiving, and disbursing parts. In addition, this position is responsible for assembly of machining components.
Responsibilities:
• Maintaining, monitoring and auditing of warehouse inventory.
• Assist in disposition of material
• Monitoring inventory accuracy and investigate root cause of discrepancies
• Stock counting and location management on the warehouse floor
• Liaising with other internal departments to maintain inventory accuracy, standard procedures, controls, practices and systems
• Identify problems and recommend solutions and drive continuous improvement and implementation of processes and practices.
• Managing and maintaining inventory software
• Recommending and developing strategies related to inventory management with constant focus of continuous improvement
• Compile inventory reports, recording the quantity, type and value of products on hand, using manual or computerized inventory systems.
• Perform inventory cycle counts, spot counts, and month end reconciliation process and research any variances.
• Provide general operations support.
Requirements
• High School Diploma/GED. College Degree desired.
• 2-4 years of related experience
• Proven knowledge in purchasing and inventory control
• Physically able to life 50 lbs.
• Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills and verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with other departments and with external suppliers
• Proficient in computerized inventory systems, Excel, and word processing
Preferred Qualifications
• Depth of knowledge surrounding manufacturing environment.
• The ability to coordinate materials and production schedules with multiple teams; to solve urgent problems associated with the manufacture of products.
• Mechanically inclined to assist with assembly of machining components
