Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 a year (DOE)

Location: 2172 E. 7200 S. Spanish Fork, Utah 84660

Schedule: Monday - Friday (8am - 5pm) Occasional weekends.

New Haven serves adolescent girls ages 14–18 and their families through trauma‑informed, relationship‑based care delivered in warm, home‑like residential settings in Spanish Fork and Saratoga Springs. Our programs integrate therapeutic support with accredited academics, emphasizing trauma recovery, family systems, emotional regulation, and mental health, while partnering closely with families to promote lasting healing and growth.

 

As the Executive Clinical Director, you will serve as the organization’s clinical thought leader, shaping treatment philosophy and clinical standards across all programs. This executive‑level role provides leadership and supervision to senior clinical staff, ensures compliance and quality of care, and drives continuous clinical improvement. As a key member of the executive and administrative leadership team, you will collaborate cross‑functionally to advance New Haven’s mission, long‑term vision, and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for the Clinical Department, shaping clinical strategy, policies, and standards of care across all programs.
  • Ensure the delivery of high‑quality, evidence‑based, ethical, and developmentally appropriate treatment for youth ages 12–18 and their families.
  • Oversee clinical quality and outcomes, including individual, group, and family therapy, and collaborate with Clinical Directors and Treatment Teams on master treatment planning.
  • Lead, supervise, and mentor Clinical Directors and senior clinical staff, fostering a trauma‑informed, collaborative, and growth‑oriented clinical culture.
  • Support employee relations, performance management, and professional development, including direct supervision of licensed clinicians and interns.
  • Ensure compliance with all state licensing, legal, ethical, documentation, and confidentiality requirements, and manage clinical risk and external agency standards.
  • Provide financial and administrative oversight, including departmental budgeting, goal setting, performance metrics, reporting, and clinical training initiatives.
  • Serve as a key organizational ambassador by promoting the Mission and Vision, engaging clients, families, referral sources, and community partners, and representing the organization with professionalism and credibility.

Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted Utah licensure authorizing the practice of psychotherapy (LCSW, LMFT, CMHC, PhD or equivalent)
  • Master’s degree required; Doctoral degree or doctoral candidacy strongly preferred (Social Work, Psychology, MFT, or related field)
  • Eligible to supervise counseling interns under state guidelines
  • 5 years of experience in social services or behavioral health, including at least 2 years working with high‑risk adolescents (ages 12–18)
  • Proven experience leading clinical teams, programs, or departments
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to make complex, high‑stakes decisions using multiple data sources
  • Deep knowledge of DSM diagnoses, therapeutic modalities, adolescent development, and family systems
