Part-Time, On-site position: Alexandria, Virginia
Schedule: 8pm - 6am

Embark at Alexandria is seeking an Overnight Behavioral Health Associate to mentor adolescents (ages 12 - 17) in a residential treatment program. As a key member of our multidisciplinary treatment team, you will help create a structured, supportive environment where adolescents can heal and develop essential life skills. This role can be physical in nature, so we encourage candidates who feel comfortable with these demands to apply.

Responsibilities
- Conduct routine bed checks to ensure client safety and compliance
- Monitor clients in assigned rooms and respond to concerns
- Support clients who are ill, distressed, or unable to sleep
- Maintain a safe, calm, and structured overnight environment
- Document bed checks, observations, and incidents accurately
- Perform light cleaning and laundry duties
- Follow crisis protocols and report incidents as needed
- Communicate overnight updates to incoming staff
- Follow all safety, confidentiality, and program policies
- 21 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Able to pass pre-employment drug screen
- Able to pass criminal investigation background check
- Current driver's license in good standing
- Ability to perform CPR and First-Aid.
- Ability to safely hold or restrain an upset or combative client
- Skill in de-escalating agitated clients
- Preferred - One year of experience in a residential setting using relational, experiential, and systemic modalities
- Ability to plan, implement, and adjust to plans accordingly
