Position Summary
The Asian Market Sales Representative will be responsible for supporting the sales team in achieving revenue goals within the Korean and broader Asian market segments in the U.S. This role requires strong analytical skills, proactive client communication, and execution of sales and marketing initiatives to drive product growth and market penetration.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
Sales Operations & Account Management
- Manage and support existing client accounts, including major Asian grocery chains, distributors, and retail partners.
- Process and track sales orders, shipping schedules, and requisitions within the system to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate with customers to confirm successful receipt of goods and resolve discrepancies.
Financial & Administrative Management
- Manage customer invoicing, shipment schedules, and accounts receivable aging to ensure accurate and timely payment collection.
- Review and reconcile invoice deductions and promotional claims.
- Support contract review, pricing calculations, and margin analysis to maintain profitability.
- Maintain and organize essential documentation such as contracts, invoices, and promotional agreements.
Sales Strategy & Market Development
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive movements, and potential business opportunities.
- Assist in developing sales and operational strategies to expand product placements and strengthen channel performance.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations and product proposals for meetings with HQ buyers and retail partners.
- Execute sales promotions, marketing initiatives, and merchandising programs at both HQ and store levels.
Cross-functional & Reporting Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including logistics, marketing, and finance to streamline business operations.
- Collect and report market intelligence, including customer feedback, competitor activity, and industry trends.
- Track sales performance, provide periodic reports, and support management with data-driven insights.
- Perform general office operations support, and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
- A minimum of 0-3 years of relevant experience in sales, purchasing, account management, or supply chain, preferably within Food/Beverage industry.
- Proven experience in sales operations, with a focus on Asian market sales and channel development.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management and operational processes.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Open to business travel, including overnight stays when necessary.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Proficient in both English and Korean.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office.
