What are the responsibilities and job description for the PHLEBOTOMIST position at Emanuel Medical Center?
Responsible for phlebotomy procedures including, but not limited to, venipuncture and capillary blood collections, PKU collections and bleeding times. Follows policies and procedures to ensure overall departmental operations in accordance with the facility’s mission and philosophy. Participates and maintains quality assurance activities to assure highest standards of care.
Education: High school graduate or equivalent. (Required by federal law)
Must be a graduate of or currently enrolled in an approved phlebotomy program.
Experience: Must have prior phlebotomy experience either in clinical training program or on the job experience.
