What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Account Manager position at Emanuel Medical Center?
COMMERCIAL INSURANCE, MEDICARE/MEDICAID, PAY PATIENT, IN-HOUSE COLLECTIONS, AND CREDIT/COLLECTIONS FOLLOWUP
Performs duties necessary to collect balances in full, from all third-party payors, patients, or guarantors for insurance and private pay patients, including all follow-up duties and doing these functions in a professional and customer-oriented manner.
MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED. Must have typing skills of 35WPM, minimum. Previous experience or education using a PC, preferred.
Previous experience in hospital or other medical facility in the Business Office is preferred.
