Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of landscape technicians to complete maintenance, planting, pruning, and installation projects efficiently and safely
- Coordinate daily schedules, assign tasks, and monitor progress to meet project deadlines and quality standards
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, pruning, mulching, irrigation system checks, and pest management
- Oversee construction activities including hardscape installation, planting beds, and landscape features
- Conduct tree care activities like trimming, removal, and health assessments in accordance with safety guidelines
- Ensure all work complies with safety protocols and environmental regulations while maintaining a safe work environment for the team
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand project requirements and provide updates on progress
Skills
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping, or horticulture with a strong understanding of plant care and garden design principles
- Supervising experience leading teams in outdoor or construction settings
- Knowledge of lawn care techniques including mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and pest control
- Familiarity with construction practices related to hardscaping and landscape installation
- Expertise in tree care practices such as pruning, cabling, and health assessments
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely and efficiently including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation tools
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate team members and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with clients and team members effectively
- Attention to detail in maintaining high standards of quality while adhering to safety guidelines
