Job Overview
Join our small healthcare team at Elysian Woods. We are currently under going renovation but will be opening in September 2026. We are a private residential home that will care for 3 comfort care patients. Our home is thoughtfully designed to promote a sense of calm and wellbeing for our residents and families. And we are looking for the right staff to bring our vision together.
Duties
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts.
- Administer prescribed medications accurately following established protocols, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining strict patient confidentiality.
- Monitor vital signs regularly—such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature—and document findings in electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems).
- Support residents with specialized needs
- Collaborate with nursing staff to report changes in resident condition promptly and assist with medical documentation and record-keeping.
- Utilize medical terminology accurately to communicate effectively within the healthcare team.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control standards and aseptic techniques during patient care activities.
Skills
- Proven experience working with geriatric patients or in long-term care facilities, including nursing homes or assisted living communities.
- Strong knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety practices.
- Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and interpret physiological data.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs is highly desirable.
- Excellent caregiver communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
