Our history dates back to 1905, when we began to produce castings in Elyria, Ohio, for the machine tool, gas engine and other industries. Our Hodge Foundry location began operation in 1876 and built a reputation for quality casting from its Greenville, Pennsylvania location. The two foundries joined to form a single company in 2008, which is today known as Elyria Foundry. We are a fast-paced, technically advanced, customer-focused operation creating high-quality, American-made products and we’re looking for individuals who are eager to learn and contribute to the Team!

Position: Tow Motor Operator

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

· Operate forklift to properly load and unload material to and from manufacturing and shipping areas. (driving inside and outside between buildings)

· Stack loads accurately and safely at all times

· Ability to maneuver in congested areas while operating in a safe manner.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:

· Prior forklift experience required.

· Must have valid state driver’s license.

· Established skills in operating equipment in a safe manner.

· Demonstrated competency in loading, unloading, and stacking heavy materials.

· High school diploma or GED preferred.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

· Heavy manufacturing environment

· Indoor and outdoor climate conditions during all seasons and in varying temperatures.

· Perform physical activities that require use of your arms and legs, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking stooping and handling materials.

· Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.

Job Type: Full Time. Hourly, non-exempt.
