We supply castings for the global markets of mining, power generation, gas compression and heavy industrial equipment and are recognized amongst countless peers and customers as the undisputed “go to” source for heavy section large castings and highly engineered complex castings.
A core finisher cleans, assembles, finishes and washes core to prepare cores for production mold making. 2nd shift starts at 4:30pm, may have to train on 1st shift for 2-4 weeks.
Duties
- Prepare the core for finishing by removing core fins and any other
- Perform Baume test on all alcohol wash prior to utilizing wash.
- Perform flow coating and swabbing as per procedure
- Perform other duties as required.
Skills
- High school graduate or GED preferred
- Able to read and write
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their uses and maintenance.
- Knowledge of materials, methods and the tools involved in the construction of the mold.
- Manual Dexterity- The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or two hands to grasp, manipulate or assemble objects.
- Near Vision- The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
- Visualization- The ability to foresee how something may look after it is moved or when its parts are moved or rearranged.
- Information Ordering- The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g. patterns of numbers, letters, words, picture, and mathematical operations)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Handling and Moving Objects- Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning and moving materials.
- Controlling Machines and Processes- Using either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes.
- Inspecting Equipment, Structures or Material to identify the cause of errors or other problem s or defects
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
