This is a full-time, on-site role located in Elyria, OH, for a Melt Shop Supervisor. The Melt Shop Supervisor will oversee daily operations in the melt shop, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality while meeting production targets. Responsibilities include managing and leading a team, scheduling workflows, maintaining equipment functionality, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and coordinating with other departments for seamless operations. Continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving are key aspects of this role.
- Expertise in Melt Shop processes, including melting, pouring, and equipment operation
- Experience in team supervision, workforce management, and operational coordination
- Knowledge of safety protocols, compliance standards, and a commitment to safe workplace practices
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Ability to efficiently manage schedules, resources, and meet production targets
- Familiarity with quality assurance and process improvement methodologies
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, documents, and production specifications
- Preferred: Experience in iron casting manufacturing, familiarity with large-scale industrial machinery, and knowledge of metallurgical processes
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
