Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Elyria, OH, for experienced fence installers. Day-to-day responsibilities include installing a variety of residential and commercial fences and railings, setting posts, mixing and pouring concrete, and hand building fence sections according to project specifications. The role involves reading and interpreting measurements, layout plans, and work orders, operating hand and power tools, and ensuring all work meets quality standards. Team members will load and unload materials, maintain a clean and organized job site, and interact professionally with customers and crew members. Installers may also assist with custom garden structures such as arbors, pergolas, and trellises as needed.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with fence installation, including setting posts, stick building wooden fences, install chain link fencing or ornamental aluminum railings, and working with materials such as wood, vinyl, chain link, or ornamental metal.
- Strong measurement, layout, and basic carpentry or construction skills, with the ability to read simple drawings or job specifications.
- Proficiency using hand and power tools safely (e.g., saws, drills, post-hole diggers, levels) and following job-site safety practices.
- Physical ability to perform outdoor, manual labor in various weather conditions, including lifting, bending, digging, and standing for extended periods.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the Elyria, OH location and punctual, consistent attendance for full-time on-site work.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a professional, customer-focused attitude on job sites.
