What are the responsibilities and job description for the Compliance & Permitting Specialist/ Event Producer / Risk Manager position at Ely Vega's Super Cool Business?

I am seeking a passionate individual for my Martial Art Event Hosting business for the position of Special Event Permit/Insurance Coordinator
Job Duties would include
- Obtaining required permits, insurance and certifications those necessary for Martial Arts events, raffles, food service, tent setups, and music etc.
- Research and make sure we are following government regulations.
- Stay informed about local events laws and making sure our company is within compliance.
- Ensure company has required insurance and permits etc.
The job pays between $15-$19 an hour.
You would choose your own schedule and log hours and then send them to me. This is not a full time position you must be able to self manage time and make sure all of our permits are filled out correctly.
We do not provide health insurance, employee benefits or 401k's . We are a small company very sorry we cannot offer those right now :( However you would be allowed to enter our hosted events for free :)
A regular work load would look like this:
I would reach out regarding the event we are going to host (between 5-9 months in advance depending on what we were doing) You would research what permits we would need and how we would stay within government compliance. After that was completed you would fill out all of the needed paperwork and file it with the local government on our behalf and file a copy for our records.
You would also research what insurance we need for events and for extra pay you could find the best deal for insurance.
Experience in a related field is a bonus but not a requirement.
Experience and love for Martial Arts is a bonus but not a requirement.
An internet connection/phone number is required but if you do not have one we can discuss alternatives as long as the job can be completed properly.
I have been described as an odd cookie and unconventional looking for someone who can work well with that but also keep us on track as a company.
Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour
