This is an excellent position for someone living in the Ely area who enjoys engaging with Boundary Waters travelers and driving them to and from their entry points and is interested in occasional as-needed driving opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service to our clients.
- Safely drive 12-passenger shuttle vans, often with trailers, to Wilderness entry points on a variety of improved and lower maintenance gravel roads.
- Lift and move 42 to 55 pound canoes and equipment regularly, and boats weighing up to 85 pounds occasionally.
- Secure canoes to the tops of vehicles and onto trailers.
- Maintain the highest level of friendly and professional guest services.
Qualifications
- Safe driving record.
- Ability to drive vans with trailers.
- Ability to work weekends.
- Ability to lift and move 42 to 55 pound canoes and equipment regularly, and boats weighing up to 85 pounds occasionally.
- Regular availability for occasional as-needed driving opportunities.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
- Genuine interest in wilderness adventure, and helping guests have successful wilderness experiences.
