The firm provides representation to a wide range of clients in the insurance industry in both the coverage and defense context. Prospective attorneys can expect exposure to complex coverage matters and the opportunity to develop litigation skills.
Role Description: The Attorney will handle a variety of insurance coverage issues along with task related insurance defense cases, including legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, and preparing opinion letters and coverage analyses. The Attorney will collaborate with colleagues on strategy and case management on a one-on-one basis with all attorneys in the firm in a small office environment. The firm is seeking a full time, on-site hire; however, flexible hours may be considered depending on experience.
Qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in legal Research using electronic and traditional resources to support motions, briefs, and opinions.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in Alabama (or eligibility for admission).
- Affinity for writing coupled with strong writing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines, and work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Prior experience in insurance defense, coverage work, or commercial litigation is preferred.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
