Funeral Director/Embalmer

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Funeral Director/embalmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and directing funeral services while providing support to grieving families during their difficult times. We are asking that the candidate be well rounded in Embalming as well Funeral Directing.

Duties
- Conduct consultations with bereaved families to discuss funeral arrangements
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the funeral service, including preparing the deceased for burial or cremation
- Manage logistics such as transportation of the deceased, scheduling of services, and coordination with cemeteries or crematories
- Provide emotional support and guidance to families throughout the funeral process
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and regulations related to funerals
- Utilize anatomy and physiology knowledge to handle bodies with care, including embalming procedures
- Apply cosmetology skills to prepare the deceased for viewing
- Plan and organize funeral events, including wakes, viewings, and memorial services
- Offer excellent customer service to meet the needs of grieving families

Requirements
- Active license

- Drivers License
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and sanitation procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for providing bereavement support
- Proficiency in event planning for organizing funeral services efficiently

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Experience:

• Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)
• Funeral directing: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
