Project Manager

Position Summary

Ely Concrete Construction is seeking a driven and technically strong Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex, full-scope concrete construction projects across the commercial, industrial, manufacturing, and mission-critical markets. This role is responsible for managing all phases of project execution, including foundations, slabs-on-grade, structural cast-in-place concrete, elevated deck systems, tilt-up construction, site concrete, and specialty concrete scopes from preconstruction through project closeout.

This role is accountable for full project execution, from preconstruction planning through final turnover, with a strong emphasis on field coordination, production planning, concrete sequencing, schedule management, and cost control. The ideal candidate possesses a comprehensive understanding of commercial concrete construction and demonstrates the adaptability and desire to expand their expertise across all market sectors that we operate in. Success in this role requires a proactive leader who can effectively bridge office and field operations while driving safety, quality, schedule, and financial performance.

What You'll Do

• Manage commercial, industrial, manufacturing, and mission-critical concrete projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control efforts.
• Coordinate with superintendents, field engineers, owners, general contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure successful project execution.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, and contract administration.
• Support field operations by developing concrete placement plans, sequencing strategies, and production schedules.
• Monitor project performance related to safety, quality, schedule, productivity, and profitability.
• Conduct regular jobsite visits and collaborate closely with field leadership to resolve issues and maintain project momentum.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying opportunities for future work.

What We're Looking For

• 5 years of project management experience in commercial concrete construction.
• Experience managing structural concrete, foundations, slabs-on-grade, tilt-up, site concrete, or elevated deck construction.
• Strong understanding of concrete means and methods, construction sequencing, and production planning.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with project scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with elevated structural concrete and post-tensioned construction.
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, data center, or mission-critical projects.
• Self-perform concrete contractor experience.
• Knowledge of ACI standards and concrete quality control practices.
