The Fluid Power Group of Elwood Corporation is an industry leader in high-pressure hydraulic valves and systems for water, soluble oil, and other low-viscosity applications. We are seeking a driven professional to support new customer acquisition and business growth, based on site at our Oak Creek, Wisconsin facility.

About the Role
This is a hands-on application and business development role focused on prospecting, qualifying, and converting new customers while expanding relationships with existing accounts. The position works closely with sales leadership, engineering, and operations to grow the Fluid Power Group’s customer base and market presence.
This role is on-site in our collaborative environment.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- 3 years of experience in a B2B industrial selling environment; fluid power experience preferred
- 3–5 years of experience calling on steel and aluminum mills preferred
- Ability to travel domestically as required, with occasional international travel
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, research, and pursue new customer opportunities
- Lead prospecting efforts to generate new business across targeted industries and applications
- Qualify customer needs and purchasing potential to prioritize sales efforts
- Develop strong relationships with both new and existing customers
- Plan and conduct customer visits focused on opportunity development and solution alignment
- Prepare customer proposals, quotations, and technical sales documentation
- Serve as the internal advocate for customers, coordinating with engineering and operations
- Maintain accurate reporting of customer interactions, opportunities, and follow-up activity
- Travel primarily within the United States, with occasional international travel
