The temporary instructor will guide students through ongoing coursework in areas such as graphic design, digital illustration, photography, branding, and print/digital media production. Lessons are already established, and support will be provided to ensure a smooth transition. This position is ideal for someone with industry experience, a design background, or prior instructional experience who enjoys working with high school students in a creative, hands-on learning environment.Key Responsibilities:Deliver engaging instruction aligned with existing course plans and Indiana CTE Visual & Graphic Communications Standards. Continue project-based learning in areas such as typography, color theory, layout, photography, and digital illustration. Support student use of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other digital media tools. Oversee safe and professional operation of graphic design equipment, printers, cameras, and related tools. Assist students in completing ongoing design projects and maintaining digital portfolios. Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment. Collaborate with staff to ensure continuity of instruction and student progress.Preferred Qualifications:Because this is a short-term assignment, full licensure is not required. Candidates with a combination of the following are encouraged to apply:Experience or education in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Digital Media, or a related field. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud applications. Prior teaching, coaching, training, or mentoring experience (not required but highly valued). Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to build rapport with high-school-age students.
