Plastic Injection Molding Maintenance Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Plastic Injection Molding Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team in ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of our manufacturing equipment. This role is vital in maintaining continuous production flow by overseeing preventative and corrective maintenance activities on complex injection molding machinery and supporting facilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, technical expertise, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the maintenance team responsible for all mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems related to plastic injection molding equipment.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to maximize equipment uptime.
• Troubleshoot and repair high-voltage and low-voltage electrical systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and industrial automation components.
• Oversee facilities management tasks including HVAC systems, general building maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Coordinate projects related to equipment upgrades, facility improvements, or new machinery installation while managing timelines and budgets.
• Conduct regular inspections of machinery using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters; interpret schematics for diagnostics and repairs.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including handling high voltage systems safely, managing electrical work permits, and maintaining a safe working environment for all staff.
• Collaborate with production management to schedule maintenance activities that minimize downtime and optimize manufacturing efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts inventory, and equipment history within CMMS platforms.

Skills

• Proven management experience leading maintenance teams within a manufacturing environment specializing in plastic injection molding or similar industries.
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical expertise in both high voltage and low voltage systems.
• Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, and industrial automation troubleshooting.
• Experience with facilities management including HVAC systems, general building maintenance, and safety compliance standards.
• Skilled in using CMMS software for work order management, scheduling preventive maintenance, and tracking asset history.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Effective supervisory skills with a focus on leadership development, team motivation, and clear communication in English.
• Knowledge of industrial maintenance best practices including safety procedures related to high voltage work environments.
• Ability to read technical schematics accurately; familiarity with Ohmmeters for electrical testing; understanding of HVAC systems is a plus.
