There will be one evaluation teacher leader assigned to each middle and high school for the 2025-2026 school year. Please contact your principal for additional information about this position.

 

JOB SUMMARY

The evaluation teacher leader position is designed to provide support and assistance toward meeting the performance plan goals at the assigned school. This position may take on different specific responsibilities which are identified in the next section. Individuals that hold a teacher leader position will help facilitate each area listed below, and will focus on areas that capitalize upon personal areas of strength while providing input and collaboration with the principal and building teams.  In addition, the teacher leader will have training opportunities to further develop their leadership skills.  This leader will work with the other teacher leaders in the building to lead the work mentioned below. 

 

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a member of the principal’s school leadership team.
  • Lead to create a positive school culture. 
  • Collaboratively plan for 2-3 PLC meetings per month.
  • Be willing to demonstrate and share best teaching practices with others.  This may include but is not limited to best instructional strategies, model PLCs, and teaching demonstrations. 
  • Participate in leadership development opportunities including PLC training, PLC planning, instructional analysis, and collaborative walk through/demonstrations lessons (scrub ins) as calendared.
  • Attend PLC training and serve as a leader and facilitator at the department level and within the school, training others and offering support and guidance in the PLC process.
  • Participate in training and develop a deeper understanding in both Tier 2 practices (differentiation strategies) and effective feedback strategies (rubrics, feedback, flexible grouping) in the classroom.
  • Participate in training on peer observation best practices.
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and other stakeholders about school leadership meetings, school performance plan goals & strategies for achievement.
  • Lead PLCs:  Plan meetings with administrative support; keep track of PLC work and data, organize and post assessments, calendars, data, progress, etc.
  • Attend meetings, trainings, and events outside of the regular contract day both in the assigned school and at the district level (see attached calendar).
  • Report progress of the team back to the overseeing administrator and provide data for the school and department scorecards and SLGs.
  • Assist in school initiatives such as the RTI process, PLCs, and student engagement best practices.
  • Availability to attend 1.5 days of on-site training in August to help prepare for inservice week [tentatively August 18, 2025 (8 hours)    school level team building (4 hours) during the week of 8/18-8/22, determined by the building administrator]
  • Availability to attend professional development during 2 scheduled Individual SIWs.
  • Partner with principals to ensure licensed employees are familiar with standards of professional practice for licensed educators.
  • Support colleagues with the navigation and use of TED.
  • Contribute to district evaluation team discussions and plans for enhancing our educator effectiveness system.

The compensation begins on the October paycheck.

    Based on stipend:  $1989 w/ PERS for 59 hours as outlined in the Extra Responsibility schedule of the 

    2024-25 contract. Amount subject to change at the conclusion of bargaining. 


    Hours are subject to slight changes, but not to exceed a total of 59 hours.


    If a teacher leader is unable to attend any of the required opportunities, the principal may reserve the right

    to reassign those hours to perform a different duty.

 

 

Salary : $1,876 - $1,989
