Agricultural Equipment Operator

We are a cash cropping/dairy company where we grow corn, wheat, oats, sorghum, soybeans and canning peas. We are looking to hire people for preparing and harvesting the crops and maintaining the equipment to do the crop work. The employees we hire must have experience. Our cropping year ends in winter and starts back up in early spring. Job duties will include: prepare fields for planting, attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools, operate tractors, manure spreaders, operate other farm equipment, load and unload crops or materials, manually or using conveyors, handtrucks, forklifts, or transfer augers, load hoppers, containers, or conveyors to feed machines with products, using forklifts, transfer augers, suction gates, shovels, or pitchforks, mix specified materials or chemicals, and dump solutions, powders, or seeds into machinery, observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions, position boxes or attach bags at discharge ends of machinery to catch products, removing and closing full containers, attach equipment extensions or accessories, load crops and unload crops, drive pickup trucks to haul crops, supplies, and tools, inspect, adjust, and complete routine maintenance and repairs on equipment. Employees will also need to picking stones in fields, cleaning workshop inside and outside, clean equipment, and complete maintenance of all buildings on site. Employer may provide pay increases for performance, longevity and/or experience at employer’s discretion. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.
