What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Manager position at eLoop?
roboLoop is the new name of the company in State College PA.
We are seeking a leader for roboLoop, our new thriving environmental services company. It is a spinoff of Carnegie Mellon University’s Robotics Institute and eLoop llc, a large regional IT asset disposition company and a processor of electronic equipment.
At roboLoop, we are redefining the future of electronics recycling. Using proprietary robotic systems designed at the intersection of artificial intelligence and advanced engineering. Our first project automates the dismantling of flat panel displays (FPDs), which is the fastest-growing electronic waste stream in the world. From televisions to monitors, our process delivers cleaner, safer, and more valuable results than traditional shredding methods. By focusing on precision robotic disassembly, we protect workers, maximize material recovery, and contribute directly to the circular economy.
Additionally, we are forming a joint venture with BioSelexis, a Penn State startup, that has unique and novel methods to recover precious, critical and rare earth metals from the electronic scrap that roboLoop processes.
The joint venture will be known as roboSelexis, and will disrupt the refining industry for these metals
The best candidate for roboLoop is a “hands on” mechanically inclined individual that will provide daily direction and support to a diverse workforce with the goal of maximizing revenue and managing costs. We need a business builder in our startup that can think on their feet and focus on our production systems operating efficiently, safely, and meeting daily production goals. As the leader, you will need to evaluate and modify workflows. The business is expected to grow rapidly, and we need to develop our team to embrace the change from manual disassembly to a more automated system.
If you are a driven individual, that enjoys working with a team and has experience in operations management and a passion for environmental sustainability, we encourage you to apply!
Responsibilities:
· Direct daily operations to run smoothly and efficiently.
· The candidate must manage the friction point where advanced automated robotics meets variable, incoming physical electronic scrap, all while building up a leadership team.

· Work effectively with the shop floor leaders to sustain growth and profitability.
· Maintain facility and grounds and meet all security requirements.
· Master the use of our ERP system.
· Identify the devices we process and the value of the commodities we yield.
· Monitor and adhere to industry compliance regulations and company standards.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial or systems engineering is desired.
· Experience with ERP Software.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management.
· Project management experience in both planning and execution.
· Strong leadership and team building skills.
· Ability to work well under pressure and complete tasks to meet deadlines.
Skills
· Experience with electronic devices and an awareness of IT Asset Management Disposition Services.
