We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join the team at a large apartment community in Toledo, OH. This role is essential in keeping the property well-maintained, safe, and comfortable for residents. HVAC knowledge and certifications are a plus but not required.
Job Summary
As a Maintenance Technician, you will complete maintenance work orders, assist with unit turnovers, and ensure the property is in excellent condition. You’ll play a key role in responding promptly to maintenance requests and keeping residents satisfied.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete routine maintenance work orders in apartments and common areas
- Repair basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues
- Perform appliance repairs and replacements
- Assist with painting, drywall patching, and minor carpentry
- Help with apartment turnovers, including cleaning and repair tasks
- Maintain property grounds, including trash pickup and basic landscaping
- Conduct seasonal and preventative maintenance (e.g., filters, smoke detectors, inspections)
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls as part of an on-call rotation
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company standards
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of general maintenance or repair experience (apartment/residential preferred)
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repair
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow instructions
- HVAC/EPA certification a plus
