What are the responsibilities and job description for the Farmers Market and Clean Streets Assistant position at Elmwood Village Association?
Farmers Market Assistant needed for the Elmwood Bidwell Farmers Market. Saturdays, 7am until 1:30pm from May until October. Help with set-up and strike, marketing, processing SNAP and Double Up Bucks, and helping people find all of the great vendors at the market.
The Elmwood Village Association Clean Streets Assistant’s primary responsibilities are:
1. watering and general upkeep of the hanging flower baskets purchased and installed on Elmwood Avenue light poles;
2. watering of recently planted street trees and cement planters, as directed
3. weeding of tree beds, as directed
4. keeping Elmwood Village sidewalks free of litter;
5. recording, reporting and removing graffiti present on public property;
6. and ensuring that all street fixtures installed by the Elmwood Village Association are kept clean and in good working order.
Additional duties: As needed, the Clean Streets Manager will assist with setup and tear-down at Summer Concert events. The Clean Streets worker may also help with community garden work, volunteer coordination, and organization and planning for streetscape work.
