Instant Care’s mission is to assist patients who are going through a difficult time after an injury, by scheduling them with top physicians and rehabilitation experts and taking the time to help them through the process. Our staff works closely with the patient’s attorney to make sure the patient’s treatment process is smooth. Elmwood Park Same Day Surgery center is an ambulatory surgery center that provides pain management and orthopedic surgery for our patients.

Instant Care is seeking a highly energetic and self-motivated individual to add to our expanding team. The biller/collector will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s billing and collection process for both worker’s compensation and personal injury cases.

Duties

· Billing for Ambulatory Surgery Center (cpt coding not required).

· Handling collections for worker’s compensation cases, including contacting insurance adjusters, bill review and attorneys.

· Processing appeals on denied claims to worker’s compensation carriers.

· Handling collections for personal injury cases, including contacting attorney’s offices.

· Depositing checks and posting payments to accounts.

· Handling data entry to State of Illinois for all surgeries done at our center.

· Processing daily mail.

Job Requirements

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.

· Positive attitude and capacity to deal with difficult situations in a professional manner.

· Strong computer skills.

• Experience handling medical collections with effective negotiation skills to facilitate timely payments.
• Understanding of insurance claim processing procedures, denials management, and reimbursement protocols.

Educational and Experience

· High School Diploma or GED.

· At least 2 years of experience with insurance collections is required.

· Solid computer skills, Medisoft experience a plus.

· Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).

· Worker’s Compensation/Personal Injury Experience a plus.

Pay Dependant Upon Experience
