Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paint, stain, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately determine project scope and specifications.
- Execute various types of painting including residential, commercial, industrial, restoration, and construction painting projects
- Perform related tasks such as fixture installation, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry work, and basic drywall repairs as needed.
- Use construction estimating skills to assess project requirements and materials needed for timely completion
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials safely.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction painting with a strong background in residential and commercial projects.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and construction plans.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools (including scaffolding), and equipment such as airless sprayers.
- Knowledge of color theory to achieve desired aesthetic effects.
- Experience with plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, masonry, welding, concrete finishing, and restoration work is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and estimations accurately.
- Construction site experience with safety awareness and adherence to protocols.
