Elmwood Hills Healthcare Center , located in Blackwood, NJ, has Full-time and Part-Time Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) positions available for  ALL SHIFTS FT / PT and Weekend Only! We are a long-term care facility looking for the right Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team.

Purpose of Your Job Position : The primary purpose of your job position is to provide each of your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident's assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisors. Personal Nursing Care Functions Participate in and receive the nursing report upon reporting for duty. Follow established policies concerning exposure to blood / body fluids. Assist residents with daily dental and mouth care (i.e., brushing teeth / dentures, oral hygiene, special mouth care, etc.). Assist residents with bath functions (i.e., bed bath, tub or shower bath, etc.) as directed. Assist residents with dressing / undressing, as necessary. Assist residents with hair care functions (i.e., combing, brushing, shampooing, etc.). Assist residents with nail care (i.e., clipping, trimming, and cleaning the finger / toenails). Shave male residents. Keep residents dry (i.e., change gown, clothing, linen, etc., when it becomes wet or soiled). Change bed linens. Make bed (occupied and unoccupied). Position bed fast residents in correct and comfortable position. Assist resident with bowel and bladder functions (i.e., take to bathroom, offer bedpan / urinal, portable commode, etc.). Maintain intake and output records as instructed. Keep incontinent residents clean and dry. Assist residents in preparing for medical tests (i.e. lab work, x-ray, therapy, dental, etc.). Assist residents in preparing for activity and social programs. Other job duties as assigned to meet the specific needs of the residents.

Job Requirements  Must have a current Certified Nursing Assistant Certification in the state of NJ in good standing.

Duties :

• Assist with patient care activities under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
• Perform basic nursing procedures such as taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and assisting with activities of daily living
• Provide gastric lavage and airway management as needed
• Assist with sterile processing and maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure patient needs are met
• Document patient information accurately and timely using electronic medical record systems such as Cerner and eClinicalWorks
• Provide specialized care for patients with special needs, including children and those in behavioral health settings
• Assist with the management of durable medical equipment (DME)

Skills :

• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and adherence to protocols
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic nursing procedures
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems such as Cerner and eClinicalWorks
