Duties
- Respond promptly to emergency calls, arriving quickly on scene to evaluate patient conditions and provide essential medical assistance
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs measurement, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations
- Administer basic life support (BLS), including airway management, oxygen therapy, and medication administration as authorized
- Utilize advanced skills as trained
- Conduct triage at emergency scenes or hospital settings to prioritize care based on injury severity and medical urgency
- Maintain clear documentation of patient assessments, treatments provided, and transport details following medical terminology standards
- Operate emergency vehicles safely while adhering to traffic laws and driving regulations; perform heavy lifting when necessary during patient extrication or equipment handling
Requirements
- Valid EMT certification with current licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician - Basic
- Proven experience in emergency medicine settings such as ambulance services, ERs, or urgent care clinics
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology for accurate patient assessment and treatment planning
- Experience with airway management techniques and administering injections or medications in urgent situations
- Ability to perform physical examinations and vital signs assessment efficiently under pressure
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely in emergency scenarios
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and first responders
