Onsite Interpreter

Elmura Linguistics is looking for standard, medical or legal Interpreters and translators to facilitate communication between parties who speak two different languages. Translating and re-communicating both verbal and written messages from one language into another.

Responsibilities:
- Provide interpretation services in Portuguese for social work settings, including hospitals and child protective services.
- Conduct documentation review and translation of medical records, legal documents, and other relevant materials.
- Assist with communication between Portuguese-speaking clients and English-speaking professionals.
- Ensure accurate and culturally sensitive interpretation during meetings, interviews, and appointments.

Skills:
- Fluency in both Portuguese and English languages.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to convey messages accurately and efficiently.
- Excellent listening skills to understand and interpret spoken language in real-time.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and legal terminology is preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
