Join our vibrant summer day camp team as an Early Childhood Head Teacher, where your passion for nurturing young minds will shine! As a key leader, you will coordinate with assistant counselors, and administrative staff, along with families to promote positive behavior, developmentally appropriate learning, and joyful exploration all while encouraging the children to have a whole of safe, summer fun!

Duties
- Lead and supervise a group/class of 3-4 year olds , ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum activities that promote early childhood development, including social skills, motor skills, and cognitive growth
- Manage classroom and camp grounds behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies
- Coordinate with fellow staff to plan daily schedules that balance structured activities with free play and creative expression
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom and campground environment that adheres to safety standards and promotes learning
- Assist in training and mentoring assistant teachers or camp staff to ensure consistency and quality of care
Skills
- Strong classroom management abilities to foster a positive learning environment
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development milestones
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or camp settings
- First aid certification to respond confidently to emergencies
- Ability to implement behavior management techniques effectively
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with parents and team members
- Background in special education or tutoring is a plus for supporting diverse learning needs
- Enthusiasm for engaging children through activities like sports coaching, theater, or arts & crafts
- Proven ability to lead with energy, patience, and enthusiasm in fast-paced environments
