Grounds crew at Elmridge golf course. This is a full time seasonal position . Experience in landscaping or golf course maintenance is preferred but we will train the right person.

Position Title - Golf Course grounds crew / Landscaper

Position Summary
The grounds crew position at Elmridge Golf Course is responsible for maintaining and caring for all turfgrass surfaces, flowerbeds, trees, and any other sites on property to enhance our customer’s experience. It is a crucial ingredient to our success to consistently have a beautiful property with quality playing surfaces to leave our members/guests with a lasting impression.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions
· Operates and maintains equipment such as riding greens mowers, tee mowers, fairway mowers, rough mowers, rollers, bunker rakes, carts, push mowers, spreaders, sprayer, and a variety of powered and non-powered hand tools in all facets of the maintenance operation.
· Irrigates playing surfaces/flowerbeds and works on its irrigation system.
· Assist in the maintenance of all on site flower beds/landscapes. Including but not limited to edging, mulching, planting, weeding, deadheading, pruning, and fertilizing.
· Assist in any on site projects/renovations.
· Assist in maintaining sufficient on course drinking water and trash/recycling disposal.
· Need to be a self-starter/team player.
· Weekends, holidays, and flexibility a must.
· Reports equipment problems, feedback, and concerns to the Superintendent.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities-
· Good communication skills (oral and written) necessary to perform daily tasks and to provide feedback to the Superintendent and pro shop staff.
· Individual will need to be able to perform tasks that include frequent standing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and reaching at times.
· Must have basic knowledge of safe and efficient mechanical operation or the willingness to learn.
· Mechanical background and ability to fix/troubleshoot machinery a plus.
Experience- 1-2 years’ experience preferred but will train the right individual who wants to be a part of the success at Elmridge Golf Course.
