- Upcoming graduate of a university pursuing a degree in construction, engineering or related field or
- Recent graduate in Construction related program
- Learns & understands Elmington's safety standards
- Identify and correct safety concerns on the jobsite with assistance and guidance from project team
- Assists in project housekeeping (cleanup, organization)
- Communicate with project team and subcontractors to coordinate day to day jobsite logistics
- Learns project startup requirements for field team and assists as needed
- Learns drawing and specifications of the project to be able to be knowledgeable of details of project
- Assists in reviewing project documents to stay ahead of RFI's and future coordination issues
- Assists in daily reports, progress reports, and compliance reports
- Assists in development, planning, and updating of overall project schedule
- Proactively identify problems and implement solutions in time to maintain workflow
- Assists in ensuring all installed material is per specifications and submittals
- Assists in internal inspections/QC walks
- Creates, reviews, and closes out quality control observations and punch lists
- Assists in project closeout and owner turnover
- Understands EC policy and processes
- Mentors and trains interns/co-op
- Develop and maintain material logs for jobsite materials purchased by Elmington
- Use of hand tools will be required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Must be able to work outside on construction site including all types of weather (extremes of hot/cold)
- You will be working in a temporary facility/structure
- Able to stand; crawl; climb ladders & stairs; balance; stoop and kneel; etc (physical activities associated with construction sites)
- You must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- You frequently work near moving mechanical parts. You occasionally work in high, precarious places and are occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. You should be able to recognize these hazards or potential hazards a react accordingly to protect the workforce and provide OSHA compliant safeguards
