| Job Summary | Elmhurst University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor (Professional Track) in the Department of Psychology. The primary responsibility of this position is to teach in the Master's in Industrial/Organizational (I/O) Psychology program. The successful candidate should also be able to teach undergraduate courses as needed, advise graduate students, and contribute to service activities within the graduate program. One of the service opportunities involves contributing to Elmhurst Consulting Solutions, the University's in-house consulting center that sources and oversees projects which serve as internship opportunities for graduate students. This position carries a 3-3 teaching load (three courses per semester) and begins Fall 2026. |

| Working Conditions/Physical Requirements | The essential functions of this position are primarily performed in an indoor setting with limited exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Work is often sedentary in nature and requires remaining in a stationary position for extended periods. Required abilities include speaking and hearing for in-person and virtual communication, using close and distance vision when reading documents or viewing screens, and performing tasks with repetitive fine motor skills. Work may require occasional lifting, bending, carrying, or otherwise moving objects weighing up to 15 pounds.
