The Visual Art Teacher delivers a comprehensive, standards-aligned art curriculum that cultivates creativity, technical skill, and critical thinking in students across grade levels and ability ranges. Through develop students' proficiency with artistic techniques, materials, and processes while deepening their understanding of art history, cultural context, and contemporary practice. The Visual Art Teacher collaborates with colleagues to analyze student work, align curriculum, refine instructional practices, and ensure coherence across courses. The teacher establishes a positive, classroom environment grounded in mutual respect, high expectations, and artistic risk-taking. By fostering both individual artistic voice and collective inquiry, the Visual Art Teacher prepares students to engage thoughtfully and confidently with the visual world.

Candidates will have an IL Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Visual Arts Endorsement registered in DuPage County.
Candidates with experience teaching visual art will be prioritized.
