Quality Control Inspector

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our team in the growing Charleston aviation industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting mechanical assemblies and components to ensure they meet strict quality standards, certifications, and safety requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections on project items in accordance with relevant certifications.
• Collaborate with the Site Manager to meet work plans and schedules.
• Address non-conforming items and implement solutions to reduce quality issues.
• Ensure all project tasks and activities comply with standard hours.
• Ability to work in shifts as needed; other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or academic equivalent.
• 3 years of experience in mechanical assembly inspection, preferably in a manufacturing environment.6 months of experience using measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and go/no-go pins.
• Knowledge or experience with bonded structures and paint.
• Mechanical engineering technician or practical engineer certification.
• Aircraft/helicopter mechanic or completion of a professional course in the field.
• Experience working with technical drawings and models.
• Technical English proficiency, including reading and writing.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Physical Demands: This role requires the ability to perform a variety of physical activities, including standing, walking, and working in various positions for extended periods. The ability to lift and handle materials, as well as to climb, balance, kneel, bend, and crouch, is required to access work areas and perform tasks.
