What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lake Country Campus Administrative Specialist position at ELMBROOK CHURCH?

The Administrative Specialist assists with communication, data governance, and other church-wide initiatives. This individual must collaborate well with ministry and event staff and operate with flexibility while managing multiple, simultaneous deadlines.
Excellent communication, attitude, computer skills, accuracy, time management, and continuous improvement are foundational to this role's success.
Major Responsibilities
- Assist departments in using and applying all modules of the church management system (Realm) to their respective ministry functions, and assist church members in their interactions with Realm.
- Assist the Communication Director with general communication and promotion administration activities, including setting up email newsletters (Constant Contact), social media posts, and web/event page updates.
- Track projects, maintain calendars, and help implement Strategic Management Team plans.
- Collaborate with other team members to coordinate ministry/event web presence, registration, and promotion details.
- Communicate room scheduling and set-up needs with the appropriate team members.
- Support team and ministry events, which may require some availability outside of normal working hours and may include assisting with set-up and tear-down.
- Demonstrate a vibrant and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Active participant or member of Elmbrook church who supports and endorses the statement of faith, vision, and core values.
- Proactive, conscientious, efficient, detail-oriented, and dependable.
- Work well with limited supervision – self-motivated and directed.

- Strong organizational and project management skills and ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite: (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, & Teams), Zoom, Adobe Acrobat, and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, & YouTube).
- Familiarity with design software (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator) and website content management systems (WordPress or similar) is a plus.
Employment Information
This position is part-time, hourly and classified as nonexempt, 20 hours/week.
Salary – dependent on experience, skills & education
Benefits Package
Paid Time Off (PTO) – Part-time employees who are scheduled to work more than 10 hours per week are eligible to earn PTO. PTO is accrued on a calendar year basis. Refer to the Staff Handbook for specific details.
403b – Employees are eligible to participate in the 403b pension plan if they are scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week. Entry dates for the 403b plan are the first of the month following the date of hire. On an employee’s first anniversary, Elmbrook will match up to 3%.
Holidays – Part-time employees who are scheduled to work more than 10 hours per week are eligible for holiday pay if the holiday falls on their normal scheduled workday. Refer to the Staff Handbook for specific details.
Reporting Structure
The Lake Country Campus Administrative Specialist will be accountable and report directly to the Lake Country Campus Pastor.
