Job Title: Caregiver - Graveyard Shift
Location: Elma Home Care, Elma, WA
Position Type: Full-time
Shift: Graveyard (10:00 PM - 8:00 AM)
Hourly Rate: $21.50-$23.50
About Us: Elma Home Care is dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to elderly individuals and clients with mental health challenges. We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team for the graveyard shift.
Job Description: As a caregiver working the graveyard shift, you will play a vital role in supporting our elderly clients and those with mental health needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and feeding.
- Monitoring and documenting clients' health and behavior changes.
- Providing emotional support and companionship to clients.
- Assisting with medication administration as directed by the nursing staff.
- Ensuring a safe and clean environment for clients.
- Responding to emergencies and reporting any concerns to the nursing staff.
- Being able to be delegated tasks by the nursing staff.
- Maintaining a clean environment in common areas.
- Meal preparation as needed. Qualifications:
- Willing to obtain HCA
- Dementia and Mental Health certificates
- Previous experience working with elderly clients and clients with mental health needs is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
- Availability to work the graveyard shift (10:00 PM - 8:00 AM).
- Must be dependable and work scheduled shifts.
