What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Care Worker position at Elm Terrace Gardens?
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Worker to provide personal care and support to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will assist Personal Care clients with activities of daily living , ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
Positions available are 7am-7pm Full-time positions work 2 days a week and every other weekend. Available pick up time in scheduling app.
Excellent Benefits package after 60 days.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing
- Help with dressing and undressing as needed
- Support clients with mobility and transfers
- Help serve meals according to dietary requirements
- Monitor and document clients' health and behavior changes
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Assist with residents laundry
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients

Requirements:
Skills and Qualifications:
- Must have a High school diploma or equivalent from the United States
- Direct Care Worker Certificate from the Department of Human Services- if you don't have one, we have the course information
- Previous experience in personal care, assisted living or a related field preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient demeanor- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be punctual!!
