What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Care Worker 7a-7p position at Elm Terrace Gardens?
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Worker to provide personal care and support to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will assist Personal Care clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
Positions available are 7am-7pm Full-time positions work 2 days a week and every other weekend. Available pick up time in scheduling app.
Excellent Benefits package after 60 days.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing
- Help with dressing and undressing as needed
- Support clients with mobility and transfers
- Help serve meals according to dietary requirements
- Monitor and document clients' health and behavior changes
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Assist with clients laundry
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients

Skills and Qualifications:
- Must have a High school diploma or equivalent from the United States
- Direct Care Worker Certificate from the Department of Human Services- if you don't have one, we have the course information
- Previous experience in personal care, assisted living or a related field preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient demeanor- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be punctual!!
