Activity Aide
Join our dedicated team as an Activity Aide and play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. We are seeking compassionate and energetic individuals who enjoy engaging with others and creating a positive, lively environment. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors or individuals requiring supportive activities.
Position is full-time Monday-Friday also rotating one weekend a month, hours are 8:00am-4:30pm
Excellent benefit package provided after 60 days.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and facilitate recreational and social activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities
- Assist residents in participating in activities, providing encouragement and support
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment during all activities
- Collaborate with team members and family members to develop personalized activity plans
- Monitor and document residents' participation and responses to activities
- Ensure activity areas are clean, organized, and well-prepared for upcoming events
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in activity planning, recreation, or a related field preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate, patient, and attentive to residents' needs
- Creativity and enthusiasm for engaging others in meaningful activities
- Ability to lift and assist residents as needed, complying with safety standards

Requirements:Qualifications
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and completed high school or obtained the equivalent of a high school education; and
- Must be able to positively deal with the elderly; and
- Must possess or have the capacity to acquire knowledge of applicable regulations governing the development and implementation of an effective activities program; and
- Must possess the ability to speak to and be understood by residents and staff, and demonstrate the ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions; and
- Must possess an agreeable and helpful attitude toward senior adults.
