Location: 

• Elm Plating – Dip Spin Division - 533 Hupp Ave, Jackson, MI 49203

Schedule: 

• Monday – Friday: 3:00pm – 11:00pm

Starting Wage

• Starting at $19.00 - $22.00/hour based on experiences, plus $1.50 shift premium

Primary Function: 

• The position is responsible for overseeing daily production activities, maintaining the production schedule, and ensuring targeted production goals and objectives are consistently met. This role requires the ability to lead and motivate hourly employees while treating all employees fairly and consistently.

• Key responsibilities include providing direction and support to employees, addressing performance and disciplinary issues when necessary, and consistently enforcing company policies and management decisions. The position will also be responsible for training new employees and taking the necessary steps to maintain a safe, productive, and efficient shift.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the direction and supervision of two or more employees on his/her shift.
• Responsible for checking, entering and analyzing daily production data. 
• Mixing and testing of coating material for production.
• Maintain the set target range for coating baths/tanks.
• Maintain daily target paint budget.
• Responsible for the cleanliness and organization of the plant.
• Must maintain acceptable levels of productivity - 98% or better.
• Identify, report and assist in the resolution of production/quality issue.
• Recommend promotions and discharges to Plant Manager.
• Assess resources and provide recommendations to management in order to maintain adequate resources.
• Must promote safety awareness throughout the facility.
• Must be capable of performing minor maintenance functions within their respective area.
• Responsible for resolving any quality problems as an active member of our Quality Team.
• Required to comply and enforce all Company/Plant, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in related industry.
• Must be able to read and follow written work instructions.
• Must be able to multitask and have time management skills.
• Have basic computer and math skills.
• Must be able to follow verbal instructions.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. 
• Attention to detail and quality a must. 
• Must maintain a valid forklift license. 
• Must be able to work overtime as scheduled.
• Must be able to work other shifts and/or hours as needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must maintain prompt and regular attendance.
• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in written form.
• Position requires constant bending, twisting, pulling and climbing on and off the forklift truck.
• Understands the environmental directives of EPC.
• Understands the environmental impact of their division.
• Maintain production to reach daily production targets
• Train new employees.
